What we do
One Local Team, Seven Urgent Services
One team covers all seven of these, whatever hour they hit. Each card runs to the detail.
Blocked Drains
When roots crack into an old sewer line, the whole drain can back up overnight. Clear the blockage with high-pressure jetting and a camera to prove the line runs free.

Hot Water Repairs
Behind the grand facades off Werona Avenue, the hot water tank is usually decades older than the renovation around it. Sort the hot water tonight, repair or changeover.

Water Leak Detection
A leak inside a wall can run for weeks before a stain or a bill gives it away. Locate a hidden leak by sound, so nothing gets opened up on a guess.
Learn more
Blocked Toilet
One blocked toilet in a big house with a single working bathroom is a genuine emergency. Free up the toilet, then trace the cause upstream.
Learn more
Burst & Leaking Pipes
Old pipework can give way at 3am and empty into a hallway. Kill a burst pipe at the source, then renew the failed length properly.
Learn more
Leaking Tap Repair
A tap that drips through the night is water and sleep both going to waste. Silence a dripping tap with a reseat, new washers, or a replacement.

Emergency Gas Leak Repair
Gas is never a wait-until-morning problem. If you smell it, leave the house and phone 000 from the footpath, then we handle the gas leak as licensed gas work once it's made safe.

What Counts as a 2am Problem
A lot of plumbing keeps until a booking, and some of it wrecks a ceiling by sunrise. We sort which is which the moment you call.
A burst main, gas you can smell, sewage inside, or a ceiling sagging with water. See to safety first, then call; every minute of waiting spreads the damage.
Cold showers from a dead heater, a leak already caught in a bucket, or the one toilet out. Serious, but they sit safely until morning unless they worsen.
A tap that drips, a gully that's slow, a cistern that murmurs on and off. Bothersome and wasteful, but no threat to the house before dawn.
| Problem | Signs | Do this now | Response |
|---|---|---|---|
| Burst pipe | A sudden pressure drop with water where it shouldn't be | Water off at the meter, then keep clear of sagging ceilings | Top of the queue, day or night |
| Burst flexi hose | Water pouring from a vanity or sink cupboard, a hissing spray under the bench, a braided hose that's bulging or rusted | Open the cupboard and turn the small isolation tap where the hose meets the wall. If it's stuck or missing, turn the water off at the meter instead | Call now. Flexi bursts flood fast, so we treat them as top priority |
| Stormwater backing up | Gullies overflowing in rain, water pooling against the house | Keep water away from doorways with towels or sandbags if safe | Prioritised during storms, with honest queue updates when you ring |
| Overflowing toilet | The bowl rising instead of clearing | Don't flush again. Turn off the cistern tap at the wall | Fast response, urgent for a one-toilet home |
| Sewage backing up | Gurgling drains and waste rising in the lowest fixture | Stop running water and keep everyone away from the overflow | Urgent response, we arrive ready to clear and clean up |
Local knowledge that matters
Why Killara Homes Ring Us After Hours
Grand old houses fill these streets, and grand old houses hide their plumbing well. The Federation and Californian Bungalow homes along Springdale Road and Stanhope Road have been renovated a dozen times, and the weak point is almost always the flexible hose behind a new vanity or dishwasher.
A braided hose that's perished with age lets go without a sound and empties into a floor for hours. Those are the calls we get most, especially after a bathroom refit, and burst and leaking pipe work is our nightly staple.
The regulars we're called out to here:
- Old galvanised and earthenware lines in the pre-war homes give way after decades under the garden.
- Newer apartment blocks near the railway bring strata bursts, where one hose can flood the units below.
- Big renovated kitchens and ensuites multiply the flexi connectors, and every one of them ages.
How the Callout Works
The callout runs the same way every time, start to finish.
Emergency work isn't our sideline. It's the job. The phones, the vans and the rosters are all built around being reachable at any hour.
That's why the response is quick. There's always a plumber on and a stocked van ready, not someone woken up cold.
And why the price is still fixed at 3am. Same process, any hour: quote first, approve first, then work.
And why the fix gets verified. Same standard at night as at midday. Tested, made safe, done properly.
Nearly always it's one visit and done, and if it can't be, you'll know why up front.
Fair, upfront pricing — no surprises
What You'll Pay, Settled Before We Start
The worst time to be guessing about money is mid-emergency. So the number is agreed before a single tool comes out.
We work the same streets we serve, so our pricing has to survive bumping into customers at the shops.
It does: $0 call-out, a fixed quote before any work, no overtime charges for nights or weekends, and a figure that doesn't move once you approve it.
It's the way you price when you're in the community, for the community, and plan on staying welcome in it.
The price we quote is the price you pay. No exceptions.
Why Stressed Households Choose Us
The households here are established and owner-occupied, older families in big houses with the odd apartment block. They tend to keep a plumber for decades, and that's the bar we work to.
$0 Call Out Fee. It costs nothing to get a licensed plumber to your door.
Free to say no. Fixed quote first. No surprises, no obligation. The decision stays yours.
You pay for fixes, not visits. One fixed price for the repair, agreed before work ever starts.
1000+ five-star reviews. That many locals don't rate a team five stars by accident.
Covered for life. If it's not right, we come back. No questions. No cost.
Fast to your door
Servicing Killara, Ku-ring-gai and Surrounding Suburbs
Killara is home turf, and the suburbs around it are covered just the same, all hours. Ku-ring-gai Council is our whole map, and we're on it from the ridge crest to the streets nearer the river.
Pick your suburb:
Old Pipes, Big Trees, Damp Ground: The Killara Story
Two things define plumbing here: the age of the pipes and the size of the trees. Under the heritage gardens, original earthenware sewers crack along a shale-and-clay ridge that never stops moving, and the mature canopy sends roots straight into every open joint.
The heavy tree cover also keeps the ground damp and the gutters full, so a big thunderstorm surcharges the sloped drains running down toward the Lane Cove River valley. On the older estates, even finding the shut-off valve under a century of garden takes local knowledge.
In the community, for the community
Local Team, Stocked Vans, Straight Answers
The people behind the vans are local and family-run, familiar faces rather than a nightly rotation of strangers. Your plumber will talk through the fix in plain terms and leave the place as found, licensed and insured under NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C.
Ask around your street about who turns up in a crisis, and the odds are good it's us.

1000+ five-star reviews

Five stars, more than a thousand times over, is not an accident. It's what happens when a stranger turns up fast and leaves a problem solved and a price kept.
Those 1000+ five-star reviews come from households all over Sydney, on ordinary bad days like the one you might be having. We read every one, and we'd rather earn the next than rest on them.
Good questions, straight answers
The Questions We Get at 2am
The things people ask us most in the small hours. If yours isn't here, just raise it when you call.
Is a leaking hot water tank safe to leave running?
No, don't leave it running. Shut the cold water valve on top of the unit and switch off its power or gas, then call us, because a leaking tank only gets worse.
Is there anything I should do before the plumber gets here?
Turn the water off at the meter to stop the flooding, and move anything valuable clear of the wet. If it's gas, get out and ring 000 first; otherwise sit tight, we're on the way.
When do I find out the price?
Before any work starts. We look at the job on-site, set one fixed price for the whole repair, and get your approval before a tool is lifted.
Do you charge a call-out fee in Killara?
There isn't one. Coming out to a Killara address to look and quote is free, at any hour, and you only pay once you've approved the repair.
Will you need a second visit to finish the job?
Usually not. The vans are loaded with the parts these older Killara homes fail on most, from bursts to hot water, so most jobs finish on the first visit unless a specialty part must be ordered.
Will insurance pay for burst-pipe damage?
Usually, yes. Most home policies cover the sudden damage a burst pipe does, though not always the worn pipe behind it, and we can write up the cause for your insurer.
Get in Touch, We're Awake
